We catch up with Tee Box Golf, a new entrant in the golf subscription box market

We recently caught up with Tom from Tee Box Golf, an exciting entrant to the golf subscription box market providing quality lake balls, markers and tees. We found out all about this new brand, their products and how the subscription model works.

We’ve also negotiated an extra special discount code for Golf Bubble members, that gives you 10% off your first 6 boxes, on top of any other discounts. This applies to any duration subscription. Follow this link to visit the Tee Box Golf website and have the code applied automatically at checkout: TBGGOLFBUBBLE10

Here’s what we learnt:

Based in the UK they aim to offer all of golf’s essentials as sustainably as possible. On the sustainability theme, Tee Box Golf uses sustainable or recyclable materials wherever possible, including sustainably sourced bamboo tees and top quality lake balls.

You can choose your subscription box based on the golf balls you like (most of the UK’s most popular balls are available as lake balls) and then opt for one of two ‘flavours’ – Just balls (exactly as it describes) or the complete box which also includes tees, a ball marker and a branded cotton valet bag, which everything is contained in.

The box is easy to buy and you can customise how often you get your box delivered. You can sign up for your box to be delivered either every month or every other month, giving you the flexibility to choose, depending on how many balls you go through.

A feature we really like is the ability to skip a month if you decide you haven’t quite lost enough balls yet and they also offer discount for committing to longer subscriptions. If you sign up before the end of a given calendar month, the boxes are dispatched the 15th of the next month and take 2-3 days to be delivered.

If you’d like to find out more information, there is a helpful FAQ section on the Tee Box Golf website.

Until the 8th March Tee Box Golf are also running a competition to win one of their boxes, check out our Facebook and Instagram pages to enter!

Finally, here’s how Tom answered our GolfBubble quickfire questions:

Q: Favourite course you’ve played?

A: Probably a surprising answer, as I’ve been fortunate to play some of the world’s most well known courses, but my favourite is actually The Warrington Golf Club in Cheshire. It’s where I learnt to play and where I grew up. So lots of happy memories from that course.

Q: What course is top of your bucket list?

A: Cliche answer – Augusta

Q: Favourite hole you’ve played?

A: 18th at Doral in Miami – water all the way down the left and I was pleased to escape with a 6.

Q: Who’s in your dream fourball?

A: Tough one to answer, so I’ve mixed it up a bit –

Damon Hill (I’m an F1 fan too, and I know Damon is a golfer too, so I’d love to spend a few hours on the course with him – so many questions!)

Ian Poulter (I’d also like to spend an evening in the pub with Ian too – I think he’d be a right laugh)

Justin Rose (I stood behind him at Royal Birkdale when he chipped in on 18 as an amateur to win the silver medal back in ’98, so I’ve always been a fan)

Q: Favourite club?

A: 3 wood of the deck. I just feel so comfortable with it. Doesn’t always go exactly where I would like, but when I catch it sweetly I can carry about 240 (which is about as far as I average with my Driver too!).

Q: Worst ever shot?

A: There was one tee shot that I sliced so badly it ended up not 1, not 2, but three fairways off line.

Q: Best ever shot?

A: I hit the flag once on a par three and it dropped about 2 foot from the hole. Closest to an ace I’ve ever been!
